| For
years I would shoot covers for health care corporations. Often cover
stories were focused on patients who had miraculous recoveries and
funding from unknown benefactors.
On
one assignment I drove up to a ramshackeled trailer on the east
side of the cascade mountains and found my not so shy subject climbing
on top of some old farm plow.
The
boy, a heart transplant recipient, lived in a trailer with no roof
or functional plumbing. The family ever so thankful could never
repay the staggering cost of the operation.
